Bethlehem Revisited is held the first two full weekends in December, this year Dec. 6-8 and Dec. 13-15. The story is reenacted throughout the evening, but visitors can jump in at any part of the story. People can follow Mary and Joseph through Bethlehem but are free to wander to the shops and demonstrations. The many villagers are all in character. There is free hot chocolate (donations accepted) but no food or souvenirs for sale. You might want to have a thermos of coffee or hot chocolate in your car for after your visit.
In the past, FIRE groups have gotten together to go to Bethlehem Revisited. One way to do it is to have an early potluck and an abbreviated version of the lesson for that week, then caravan to Waxahachie. Decide ahead of time if you want to follow Mary and Joseph as a group or split up to see the sights. Perhaps you might want to wait for the next tour, do that together, then split up. It will certainly be a memorable FIRE event.
