For Parents…
Jason Evert is a well-known leader in chastity education. Written with Chris Stefanick, the book Raising Pure Teens has help for parents “to protect (or restore) your teenager’s innocence. It’s organized well into ten chapters called “strategies” to help you get a handle on what they are suggesting. They also have a list of resources. It is in our Parenting section.

For Children…
Children will love the beautifully illustrated books A Child’s Illustrated Lives of the Saints from Regina Press and The Catholic Picture Bible.

For Confirmation students…
Have you chosen your saint for confirmation? We have two new books that might help you decide. One is Saints: Who They Are and How They Help You edited by Elizabeth Hallam. They are cleverly arranged by patronage, in sections such as “States of Life,” “Arts and Crafts,” and “The Animal Kingdom.” The other book is A Book of Saints: True Stories of How They Touch Our Lives by Anne Gordon. Find both of these in the Saints section.

For Young Adult Women…
Jason and Crystalina Evert give 21 secrets to women in How to Find Your Soulmate without Losing Your Soul. One is giving you really good reasons for not missionary dating! What does that mean? If you are seeking to understand better or enhance your experience in reconciliation, you might like to read An Adult’s Confession Booklet by Maquire, John P. and Faherty, William B. It is a really tiny booklet, so you may have to look for it carefully in the Sacrament section.

St. Alphonsus de Liguori wrote many works. America Needs Fatima has gathered six of his sermons into a booklet called Sermons of Hope in Times of Natural Calamaties: How God Uses Suffering for the Salvation of Mankind. It is in the Spirituality section.

You are finally getting used to the new Mass texts. You can say, “With your spirit” without hesitation. If you missed learning about the reasoning behind the texts, though, take some time to read the small booklet Understanding the Revised Mass Texts by Paul Turner. It is located in the Liturgy section.
