All are invited to join us as we pray for those who have lost their lives, and for those who are still suffering from war, Ebola, AIDS, other disease, and famine. We will also offer prayers of thanksgiving for those who were spared.
All the choirs in the African community will come together: Bakhita, Ghana, French and Nigerian will lead the singing at the Mass.
Why these Masses? We gather once every three months to pray for the African
continent. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Africa, who are subjected to extreme sufferings, who are sick, who live below poverty line and who are at war and die violently. The Bible says: “where two or three gather in my name, I will be among them.”As we have faith on God’s word and promise, we like to pray together for God’s mercy on our continent.
The Mass is celebrated in English so that all may understand and attend;
only the songs are in African languages in honor of our diverse background.
Therefore, if you’ve been blessed in your life, remember with us those who are lost, suffering, weary and tired. Let’s pray so that they may be brought to Jesus’ Sacred Heart. Please let us do what our church stands for and join us so that we can be united and pray as ONE. We look forward to seeing you.
