Draft of Petitions for the Reclining Mass 2014

Here is the draft of the petitions for the Reclining Mass. Each group needs to use one of these or write one of its own with the same topic. Please contact Diane Ashour at FIRE@stjoe88.org if your group wants to rewrite its petition. Please choose someone in your group to read the petition at Mass.

1. (Campfire Kids) That young men and women may be open to God’s call, whether to married life, to single life, or to religious life. We pray to the Lord.

2. (Angels Among Us) For our pope and all church leaders that they will be filled with wisdom. We pray to the Lord.

3. (Fireworks) For government leaders throughout the world, that they may make decisions based on sound moral principles and respect and protect life from conception to natural death. We pray to the Lord.

4. (Sapphire) For those who are ill, especially the chronically ill, and those who have died. We pray to the Lord.

5. (St. Anne’s Group) For our military members and their families, especially those separated from their loved ones. We pray to the Lord.

6. (Fireflies) For our own special intentions. We pray to the Lord.
